Every purchase supports the Powell-Cotton Museum and the work we do.
 

Product Descriptions
Every care has been taken to ensure accuracy of description, specifications, colour and price of all products; however there may be occasional errors. In this event you will be provided with a full explanation and a corrected offer. All items are offered subject to availability. The information displayed is considered as an invitation, not as a confirmed offer for sale. The contract is confirmed upon supply of goods. All items are offered subject to availability at the time of ordering.
 
Please note that some items are sold exclusively online.

Prices
The price shown for the goods includes VAT and excludes postage and packing. The charges for postage and packing are show in the Checkout before you are asked to confirm the order.
All items are offered subject to availability at the time of ordering.
 
Payment
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards and PayPal when purchasing and making payment to our online shop. Credit or debit card payments will be charge on despatch of the goods. When payment is taken from your card the transaction on your card statement will state "PCMSHOP" for orders placed on our website.
 
Security policy
Our Payment Service Provider is Sage Pay (formerly Protx) – the largest independent payment service provider (PSP) in the UK and Ireland. Sage Pay provides a secure payment gateway (Level 1 PCI DSS), processing payments for thousands of online businesses, including ours. It is Sage Pay’s utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way.
Sage Pay uses a range secure methods such as fraud screening, I.P address blocking and 3D secure. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards.
Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to the highest level and maintains regular security audits. They are also regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable.
Sage Pay is an active member of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.
In addition, you know that your session is in a secure encrypted environment when you see https:// in the web address, and/or when you see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL.
So when buying through our site, you can be sure that you are completely protected.

Deliveries
Deliveries will be sent out every Thursday. If you need your order urgently, please call the museum on 01843 842168.

UK orders
We use Royal Mail post or parcel delivery to despatch most items for delivery, depending on the size and weight of the item. All shipping costs are based on weight and size of the individual item you order.
 
Once despatched, most items should take between 3 and 5 working days to be delivered. 
 
Europe and International orders
We use Royal Mail's printed paper airmail service to post overseas. This can take from 5 days to 10 working days

International orders
There is a printed paper surface mail service for international (not European) deliveries, which can be up to 50% cheaper than by air but takes much longer, possibly 6 to 8 weeks. Please email your proposed order for a surface mail price.
 
Large orders
If you would like to order a large number of items, it may be worth contacting us directly to enquire about shipping costs.
 
Returns and Refunds
The Powell-Cotton Museum wants you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not totally satisfied with your order, please return it to us. Goods must be returned in the same condition you received them within 28 days of receiving the order. We will issue a refund or replacement at your request.

Damaged Good / Defective Goods
Items that are defective, damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied or delivery shortages must be reported within 7 days of delivery, stating the nature of the shortage / damage/defect and your order number. Upheld claims in respect of shortage, damage or defect will be rectified either by Powell-Cotton Museum (online shop) making up shortages or replacing goods free of charge or by refunding the cost of the goods in question to you.
 
Your statutory are rights not affected.
